How can Dexter "dispose" of Doakes without giving himself away?I am not sure. I suppose it would start with getting rid of the gps on his boat! I am sure Dexter will figure it out. I liked what happened to Dokes in the book best. It'd be nice if showtime would have stuck to that storyline. It would have been great to see Doekes end up like that!
Who is the biggest threat to Dexter?
I have been wondering about this all week! *L* Ok maybe not all week, but at least since Sunday. I am starting to get very pissed with Showtime for the lame ass storyline its using for my dearly beloved Dexter. I would say that Dex's super insane NA sponsor/bed buddy Lila is his biggest threat. It takes crazy to know crazy - and GOD knows what she'll do.
I saw this last night on Realtime with Bill Maher, one of my favorite things to watch on HBO. There are times I wonder where the hell he finds his somewhat insane guests, but for the most part I watch it for the banter. Anyway... the above clip was taken from his show and both Erick and I had the giggles from it for quite a while. Can't hide from gay can he?
I absolutely love Showtime's series'. I have been a longtime fan of their writing and line ups - I suppose since I became addicted to QAF. Anyway, I was thinking of boycotting Showtime after they went and canceled Dead Like Me. But I watched one episode of weeds, and again was hooked! Will I ever learn? When looking through the on demand I saw a clip of "dexter" and thought I'd give it a try. I love it!! I am super excited for season 2 to start September 30th. Here is a quip where you can see everything you need to know in Season 1 in 3 minutes or less. :) You a sucker for super dark comedies too?
I love the banter!!
This afternoon Nina and I went to the Y and spent time at the Body Flow class doing Yoga / Tai Chi / Pilates for an hour. Nina and I enjoyed the class for the most part - but need to go to it more to decide if we're going to stick with it. I am not sure what is going to be a better fit for me - this Body Flow class or the Fitness Yoga class they offer? This time was quite a bit easier than the last time - so maybe the 3rd time is a charm? One of the great things about the Y is that they have group fitness classes. Sure I can excercise myself - but with a class there is a definate start, and a definite finish. When I work out alone, I am not so sure that there is a real start, but there is always a finish!
Speaking of finishing - I am done watching the Soprano's. I wasn't all that thrilled with the ending - I know shocking! But I can continue to watch rerun's on A & E and of course the DVD's. I saw on Youtube they had all the whackings in chronological order - that was kind of fun. :) I've been a fan for the past 9 years - and it was certainly something to chat with my dad about. I guess Dad and I will have to find a new show to watch together. (Although not Big Love - I can't get into that one.)
What would I have liked to have seen in the finale - I mean besides Phil dying horribly? ( I loved the added touch in his death.)
- CP coming to take the kids away from Janice
- Uncle Ju offing Phil (although this is unlikley)
- Paulie being offed
- Sil pulling through
- Dr. Melfi making up with Tony
Ahhh.... maybe a movie? Or maybe it should just be left alone.
Erick and I are going to be getting a new car. We had talked about getting a new car as soon as the loan was paid off on our tracker. That time has come - and we're currently loan free. Now we had hoped we'd be able to bask in the loan-lessness for a while. We are trading in our doge stratus, and will have a smaller payment than what we did have on the tracker. We're open to a few different cars but are primarily looking at the Chrysler Pacifica. :) So perhaps by the end of this crazy and hectic week we'll slide in a new car. I for one am excited!
